Kajabi Review: The Dashboard
The dashboard is the first screen you will see when you log in to your account. Kajabi’s capabilities can be organized into five categories to match the five key elements of your business.
You have the following:
One thing with Kajabi is that it makes keeping track of your entire business relatively easy.
You can easily see notifications in case there is a new feature and improvements that have been added to the platform.
Let’s explore Kajabi’s features one by one.
Kajabi Review: The Website Tab
Your website is the central hub for your business online.
It’s a place where people can find you and learn about how you can help them. A website is a must-have for anybody selling digital products.
Thankfully with the Kajabi inbuilt template, you can launch your website in no time. You can do this without knowing how to code or having to hire a designer.
You can pick a template, add your copy, and you are ready to launch.
The first thing you will see in the website tab is that Kajabi has built and laid out all the key pages for your site.
And you can further design and add branding to pages like your course library, your login page, and your blog pages.
You can choose from a wide selection of design templates for your main website. You will find templates that fit almost any style. And each one is flexible and customizable.
Even if you know nothing about designs, you can still make the pages your own.
You can add images, videos, fancy blogs, FAQ blocks, social media feeds, etc.
Connecting to your existing domain
You can enter it into the domain block if you have an existing domain. Kajabi is going to work you through step by step on how to set up a domain. When you follow the instructions, you are good to go.
Kajabi Review: The Product tab
Products are the vehicle you use to deliver value to your customers, and one massive strength of the digital product is you only have to create them once.
And you can go on and sell them over and over. And just like with a website with landing pages, you have a lot of pre-designed themes to choose from for your products.
If you prefer, you can start from scratch. You can upload videos, audios, documents, grade assessments, and more to create your product. Whatever you feel will help your customers to achieve the result they’re looking for.
When you Open the Kajabi Products tab and head over to the new product button, you can create a product. You will see all the blueprints there. Depending on what you are creating, you can get started with any of them.
When you select a blueprint, you can name your course and add a description.
You can also add a product thumbnail so your customers can differentiate the different courses you may have inside of your library.
Once you are done with the course title and description and click submit, Kajabi automatically generates the frame structure of your course.
You can add media like videos, audio, or even grade assessments to your newly created course. If you want to preview a particular product, you can simply click the preview button, and it will take you to the course as it will look to your customers.
The great thing about Kajabi is you are never limited to online courses; their community is also full of coaches who set up coaches programs in Kajabi.
Again, to set up the coaching program, you click on a new product and then select the coaching program blueprint.
Like any other course on the product blueprint, you can title your coaching program, give it a description and thumbnail, and then click on submit.
Once you have your digital product ready to go, it’s time to create an offer. That is where the sales tab comes in.

Kajabi Review: The Sales tab
Think of an offer as the presentation or the package for your digital product. It is where you will set details of your price, payment option, what is included with purchasing your course, or special discounts and bonuses.
These elements combined play a role in how your audience will perceive your product.
Click on the Sales tab to create an offer, then select a new offer.
Then you offer a title and select any of the products you have created using the dropdown button, and hit save.
The next thing is Kajabi takes you to the next page, where you can configure the offer you just created. To collect payment from your customers, you would have to connect payment processors like PayPal.
You can edit the price of your course as well. You can have a one-time package or a subscription and multiple payments over a certain time period.
There’s a lot of flexibility in terms of pricing. This is where offers can become powerful.
Another thing you can do inside an offer is to create an upsell. An upsell is a way to add another offer after so many purchases. Maybe you are trying to sell a coaching program in addition to your course. You might want to upsell after someone has purchased your course.
You can send reminder emails if someone abandons your checkout page.
And you can set up any kind of automation you want. If somebody purchases your course, you can tag them or give them another offer, send them an email, etc.
And that’s the basics of an offer. It’s just setting a price for a certain amount of product. There are a few different ways Kajabi does this with coupons.
Head on to the sales tab and click on coupons; you can create a new coupon.
Kajabi gives you a couple of options coupons.
You can create a single coupon code or generate codes in bulk.
After selecting any type of coupon, you can name your coupon code, choose a percent off, say 40 percent off, and select the duration you want.
You can also set an expiration date for your coupons. The coupon you created does not have to be for all of your products or offers. It can just be for a specific offer. It’s all based on your choice, buddy.
As you know, some products lend themselves really well to affiliate promotions. You can set those from the sales tab as well.
Click on sales and the offer and product to which you want to link an affiliate.
You will see a check box that says give an affiliate commission on that page. You can also decide what percentage of that particular offer you want to give an affiliate and then hit save. Easy peasy!

Kajabi Review: The Marketing Tab
This is where you manage the various ways to reach your audience and ultimately encourage them to become your customer.
Marketing is one place Kajabi distinguishes itself from other platforms. There are platforms out there that offer you the ability to build an online course but don’t have any features that help you market it and put the product in front of your audience.
And this is a big deal because you can have the best product in the world, but to make sales, you need to build an audience and reach them effectively.
Kajabi provides you with everything you need to reach a potential customer with offers without paying for any additional tools. One area where you can see it all come together is with an automated pipeline.
Kajabi Review: The Pipelines
A pipeline combines landing pages, emails, and automation triggers. Once you launch, your business automatically has a machine collecting leads and making sales on autopilot without any additional efforts.
So for anyone who wants to scale their business past the limit of how hours they can work a day, a pipeline is a must-have.
To get started, go to the marketing tab, then the pipelines tab, and head over to the new pipeline button.
You have a lot of pipeline templates to choose from. Once you click on any pipeline templates, you get an explainer video telling you how the pipeline works.
Afterward, you can go ahead and create your pipeline. You can edit and customize your different pipeline pages. Next is the Email campaign.
Kajabi Review: Email campaigns
You can choose between an email broadcast or an automated email sequence.
When you click on either one of the email campaigns and inside the email builder, there are many customizable templates to choose from.
Whether you are announcing an event or trying to showcase a new product line, or simply sending a newsletter.
There are a lot of different layouts and branding templates to give you more inspirational ideas to make your emails more compelling.
You can click on any of the templates to get started. Once your email broadcast has been generated, Kajabi will ask a couple of questions.
Questions like who would receive this broadcast. You can choose to send it to everybody who is a member of your product or a target audience.
There’s a lot of audience targeting you can do with the email campaign.
The email campaign also allows you to draft your email by writing the subject line. Additionally, you can customize what your email looks like.
After writing your subject line and preview text, hit the save and continue, and it will take you to the next screen where you can send your emails.
Kajabi Review: The People’s tab
And Last But not least, there is the people tab. The people tab is where you can manage your customer contacts and affiliates, all in one place.
You can decide to filter your list, then create segments, add tags, and even view individual members’ life cycle and course progress.
Again this is where Kajabi distinguishes itself from other platforms. This is because you have your customer’s relationship management (CRM) fully integrated with everything else in your business.
This will save you money because you are not paying for a separate tool; it is also going to make it easier for you to get to know your customers and use those insights to grow your business.
You can create a segment in your customer list for customers who have filled out a particular form on your website.
You need to select filters, have the categories be forms, select which form you want, then apply the filter.
This is an excellent way to filter out your audience. Once you have the filter working the way you want, you can put multiple filters.
In the future, you can reference that segment by clicking on the segment dropdown.
This is a compelling way to segment your audience and keep track of people as they are moving along in your life cycle.
Now that we’ve walked through several of Kajabi’s key features, it’s a good time to mention that even though they provide all the tools you need to create, market, and sell your digital product, Kajabi also plays friendly with other tools. That’s where integrations come in.
Kajabi Review: Streamlining integrations
Sometimes you want to hold on to a tool you’re already using, like an email auto-responder.
Other times you want to use a tool that serves a different need outside of Kajabi, like the Facebook ads pixel, for instance.
Kajabi has integrations to help make it easy to connect these tools to the rest of your business.
To set up an integration, head on to the bottom left of the dashboard and click on settings.
Then click on third-party integrations. Scroll down till you see the Facebook pixel or any other tool you want to use. Then you go ahead and click the button to on.
It’s going to ask for your Facebook pixel ID and, optionally, an access token.
Once you input your ID, Kajabi checks if everything is good and the Facebook pixel is integrated. It’s just that simple.
Additionally, if you look at the integrations in your third-party integrations tab and don’t see what you are looking for, Kajabi still got you covered because they’ve included a unique integration with zapier.
An app to connect Kajabi with any third-party applications out there from Shopify and Google sheet to your local providers.
One thing that is unique with Kajabi and the other features is that you also get a fully functional professional-grade mobile app that makes it super convenient for customers to access your product.
If you’ve ever tried to access an online course through a mobile browser when you are on the go, you will know there’s a little more to be desired.
You have to remember the membership area URL and your login, and sometimes the content isn’t as mobile-friendly as it can be.
With the Kajabi mobile app, your customers don’t have to worry about that.
After their first sign-in, their content is just in tap away on their phone.
So you may be wondering why that matters?
Here’s why! When it’s easy for your customers to access your products, they are more likely to get good results and feel good about their experience with you.
This means they are more likely to leave you with positive testimonials to buy other products and encourage other people to become customers.
Happy customers have a ripple effect, and the Kajabi mobile app is one way you can set yourself apart and create delighted customers.
So let us talk about how easy it is to encourage your customers to download the mobile app.
Head over to the settings again, then click on the mobile App settings.
Now, this is a place where you can customize part of your mobile app, so you can upload an icon from a particular site and also change the colors of how the mobile app works when they engage the product on your site, which is very cool.
And more importantly, you can encourage your members to download the mobile app by clicking the member library banner.
Additionally, you can send an email broadcast with this copy in it if I want. You can simply copy it to the clipboard and open up a new email broadcast like I just showed and send that to my audience. Fill out some other information and edit it.
Kajabi also has a pre-built copy for you to start promoting the mobile app.
Kajabi Review: The Partner program
Finally, let’s talk about the Kajabi Partner program. This is another way for you to earn passive income through Kajabi in addition to any of the products you are selling.
Kajabi offers all of its customers a chance to earn affiliate commissions for referring new people to the platform for their Partner program.
As a Kajabi Partner, you get a 30% lifetime commission on the count fee for every customer you refer.
So let’s say you only ever refer to 3 people. And they pick the most popular plan, the monthly growth plan.
That means you are now earning enough passive income through your commission to pretty much cover the cost of your monthly plan. Super cool, right?
Creating a Partner campaign is easy. You have to go to your Partner dashboard, scroll down to the campaign section, and click browse campaigns.
Kajabi has a host of campaigns that promote Kajabi and make earnings faster.
So you would want to choose one that’s right for your audience.
There’s the Kajabi home page, the Kajabi pricing page, etc.
Kajabi Review: Customer Support
The icing on the cake is the superb customer support you get from Kajabi. This course platform offers 24/7 Live Chat Support.
Rarely, if you get stuck and need help with navigating Kajabi, you can reach out to their support via chat.
To make their customer support even more effective, Kajabi has several “how-to” tutorial videos for users to learn about the platform world.
You can do this by searching for a particular keyword using the Kajabi Assistant bar at the top of the dashboard. You will see relevant articles and tutorials on the topic.
Kajabi Review: Pricing plan.
Kajabi starts with the basic plan, which is $149 per month, a growth plan for $199, and a pro plan which is $399. Some people get turned off by the high price of Kajabi, but before you close out on this review, check out below and see what’s included in these plans.
Kajabi is an all-in-one platform. It does more than other platforms. Let’s get a little more specific and dive into the basic plan.
The basic plan allows three products, aka. Courses or digital products, or whatever you want to sell.
You are also allowed three pipelines, what Kajabi calls their sales funnels.
You also get unlimited landing pages which are going to be great for your lead generation pages, sales pages, thank you pages, etc.
You also get marketing emails, 10,000 contacts, 1000 active members, one website, and one admin user. And you also get a lot more.

Kajabi Review: PROs and CONs
With the all-in-one benefits you get with Kajabi, let’s take a look at its pros and cons.
- You have access to a website builder
- Kajabi helps you with sales and marketing
- You have access to lead generator
- Upon signing up, Kajabi gives your more than 1000 contacts
- You can also earn commissions from their affiliate programs.
- You can’t create custom integrations such as Single Sign-On with other apps because Kajabi doesn’t have a public API key.
- You can’t set up events, create polls or quizzes, or conduct live streaming inside the community.
- Another downside of Kajabi is the absence of bulk actions. You don’t have the option of choosing multiple categories or posts and acting like marking them drafts or deleting them at a go.
Kajabi Review: Alternatives
Kajabi is a course creation and marketing tool you’d use to make money by teaching others. Let’s check out great Kajabi alternatives.
You can develop, design, create and market your online course with Systeme.io while building an email list and selling your product by quickly integrating Stripe and PayPal and using automatic upsells and down sells.
You get to do all of this for free for 14 days in the same place. That is if you choose to subscribe to the free trial.
Thinkific has a simple and easy-to-use design. Like system.io, you can drag and drop everything using the editor. They also offer a free course creation plan with an upgraded plan.
This platform helps you promote the course and create advanced long sales pages. The downside of Teachable is that it is difficult to use. One thing that is great about Teachable is its affiliate program.
Skillshare caters to creative types, allowing them to share their expertise in short courses, plus they already have a solid audience of people taking classes on the platform.
You don’t have the freedom to edit much, and the marketing is next to none.
A platform that will teach you everything you need to create your first course. You will also know your course idea has enough interest on Google, thanks to their popularity tool.
They are extremely strict about the type of course and details you can include. Udemy also controls the amount of money you can charge for your system. They take between 25-50% of your course revenue.
The good thing with Teachery is that they don’t charge any transaction fees. On the other hand, they lack marketing features. You understand the value of having everything available in one place, and Teachery doesn’t offer that.
With Ruzuku, you get the course and student management. You can talk directly to students while they are in the middle of a module which could be good or bad.
You also get to integrate Ruzuku with a few different CRMs to keep track of your email marketing.
The platform is simple and easy to use for anyone who has ever used WordPress.
Kajabi Review: My Verdict (Is Kajabi worth your money?)
As someone that likes a straightforward process, I recommend Kajabi. It’s easy to use and has an all-in-one built-in platform to enhance my online courses.
With all the features that Kajabi offers, you are sure to have a smooth ride creating and selling online courses and have value for your money– which I would call ROI.
