Using the alt code shortcut, you can type the Pi symbol (π) on any Windows keyboard or PC. To do this, press down the Alt key and type the Pi Alt Code (i.e. 227) using the numeric keypad, then release the alt key.

Note: This shortcut works only in Microsoft Word for Windows. If you need this symbol in a different document other than Microsoft Word, you should rather use the Alt Code method or the Mac Shortcut discussed above.  

To type the Pi symbol in Word using this shortcut, first type the Alt-x code (03C0) on your keyboard. Then highlight the number you just typed and press Alt + X to convert this number into the Pi sign.
