Without any further ado, let’s dive right in.
What is Rytr.me?
Rytr is a free writing assistant that utilizes advanced AI and Machine Learning techniques to automatically and effortlessly generate high-quality content for writers.
This tool can help you spin off professional emails, high-converting ads, epic articles, trendy social media posts, and many more. Its ease of use and affordability set it apart from its competition.
How Does Rytr Work?
I know you might be like, “yes-yes, it uses AI and Machine Learning and whatnot, but how does it work?”
You might be asking yourself, “how do I get from having absolutely nothing— to having a spectacular draft on my PC ready to be sent to my boss or to be published on my blog?”
Well, the answer is simple. All you have to do is type in a few keywords into Rytr for context and tada! Behold is your complete draft, ready to be polished and published.
Rytr will ask you to submit very few inputs or topics you want your content to be based on. The AI will automatically generate unplagiarized and high-quality content for you.
Its AI has mastered the human vocabulary by cracking language models and analyzing text-based content on the web.
Rytr Review on Pricing: How much does Rytr cost?
Rytr is essentially a free platform. However, the free plan is kind of limited for any heavy use but is more than enough for testing purposes.
5000 credits or approximately 1000 free words are enough to determine if Rytr is a good investment for you or not.
Claim Your Free Rytr Account
Using the link below, you can create a free Rytr Account that comes with a generous 5000 credits.
Rytr offers three pricing plans: the Free Plan, the Saver Plan, and the Unlimited Plan.
Let us look at each plan and what it offers in detail.
1. The Free Plan
We all love a free deal. Rytr has a free trial that lasts forever and doesn’t require you to provide your credit card information to gain access.
For $0 you’ll get:
● 5000 characters per month
This gives you about 1000 words per month. You can generate article outlines, ad copies, or any other short-form content for free each month. For any serious content generation, you’ll have to advance to a higher plan.
● 30+ use cases
Think of use cases as content formats. Like the rest of the paid plans, the free option also gives you access to over 30 different use cases.
However, I should point out that the 5K per month character limit highly minimizes the number of use cases you can try out at once.
● 30+ languages
Generating content in multiple languages other than English makes Rytr even more appealing. The web is a global village, and language is one of the biggest and most important bridges.
You can generate content in Arabic, Chinese, and so many other languages from around all over the world.
● 20+ tones
As if automatically generating content with your hands tacked in your pockets was not enough, Rytr allows you to choose from over 20 different styles that can evoke a specific emotion in your reader.
Let your target audience feel exactly what you want them to feel while consuming the information you’re sharing.
● Built-in plagiarism checker
To make sure that AI is not generating for you some plagiarized content, Rytr has an in-built plagiarized checker.
You don’t need to use a third-party plagiarism checking tool; everything’s done in-house.
● A premium community
Even with the free plan, you’ll still be granted access to a vibrant community of writers using Rytr to generate content.
This can give you much-needed insight into AI writing before you fully commit your resources and time. It’s also an excellent opportunity to learn a few tips and tricks from the Pros of this game.
NOTE: All Rytr’s plans come with a Fair Usage Policy (FUP).
2. The Saver Plan
The second on the list is the $9 per month Saver plan. This subscription comes with all the features under the free plan.
The highlight feature is the 50K character limit per month; that’s 50 thousand ways of making your writing career simple.
You can also create your custom use case. In short, you can spin off any kind of content.
3. The Unlimited Plan
The final tier of what Rytr has to offer. It comes loaded with all features in the Free and Saver plans.
Unleash the true potential of automated AI content creation with only $29 per month.
As the subscription’s title suggests, you can generate as much content as possible without hitting the character limit mark.
Also, Rytr assigns you a dedicated account manager from their team to handle your needs.
The priority email and chat support is a pretty neat feature too! It is assuring to know that there’s always someone on standby waiting to help you whenever stuff goes sideways.
Does Rytr Currently Have Any Discounts?
YES! It has. Rytr is offering more than generous discounts to all clients who choose to be billed annually.
A yearly subscription to either of the paid plans gives you two free months!
You’ll pay $90 per year for the Saver plan, saving $18, and $290 per year for the Unlimited, bagging $54 in savings!
What Are Rytr’s Best Features?
Deciding which platform or tool is better can be difficult if you don’t know what to look for in software like Rytr.
Luckily, you have someone (me), guiding and throwing at you a few important pointers that might otherwise be overlooked.
So, without further ado, let’s look at some fundamental features Rytr has to offer.
1. An Intuitive Dashboard
If you are a writer, I hope you know the annoyance and torture, and pain of staring at an ugly interface for hours while trying your best to come up with something creative.
The dashboard is the one place where you spend a lot of your time as a writer, even when using AI tools like this one to generate text.
But lucky for you, Rytr has one of the most aesthetically pleasing dashboards and websites in the AI writing assistance business. It is not complicated, but it is not too plain either. Their UI designers did a great job striking a balance on this one.
What I love about the whole design philosophy behind the UI is the incorporation of simplicity and functionality.
Anyone can use Rytr, yet it doesn’t look like a color book for 5-year-olds.
2. Up to 30+ Languages are available
You can create fantastic content with Rytr in so many different languages.
Look at this, even though 1.2 billion internet users can read or speak English, almost 3 billion internet users do not access the web in English, which is about 2-thirds!
Most web content is in Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, French, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, German, etc. I hope you get my point.
Lucky for you Rytr supports at least all of these and many other popular languages used for global business and communication on the internet.
Rytr is available in the following languages:
- Arabic
- Bulgarian
- Chinese (S)
- Chinese (T)
- Czech
- Danish
- English
- Farsi
- Filipino
- Finnish
- French
- German
- Greek
- Hebrew
- Hindi
- Hungarian
- Indonesian
- Italian
- Korean
- Japanese
- Lithuania
- Malay
- Norwegian
- Polish
- Portuguese
- Romanian
- Russian
- Slovak
- Spanish
- Swedish
- Thai
- Turkish
- Vietnamese
3. You can use up to 20+ speech Tones
Rytr can generate content with a tone of your choice that you think can help evoke the right emotion in your readers’ minds.
The AI behind Rytr can make the content sound informal, general, or professional.
Some of these tones include:
- Appreciative
- Assertive
- Awestruck
- Candid
- Casual
- Cautionary
- Compassionate
- Convincing
- Critical
- Earnest
- Enthusiastic
- Formal
- Funny
- Humble
- Humorous
- Informative
- Inspirational
- Joyful
- Passionate
- Thoughtful
- Urgent
- Worried
There’s always a perfect tone for different scenarios.
4. Up To 30+ Use Cases
A use case refers to a particular format you want your writing to conform to. In other words, how do you intend to use your content? What is the main purpose? What format do you want it to take?
Rytr’s developers are well aware of the fact that many types of content serve distinct purposes. AI writing tools would be less appealing if they could only manage to generate general format essays.
If that were to be the case, you would be required to manually change the generated content into your desired format or use case.
That would be such a waste. After all, the whole purpose of using AI writing tools to generate content on the fly is to dodge the hustle as much as possible.
So, let’s briefly look at some of the use cases supported by Rytr.
● Blog Idea and Outline
The World Wide Web is powered by content and this content has to come from somewhere else. Well, a large portion of it comes from and is generated by bloggers.
The thing is, in the world of blogging, whoever produces the most high-quality content quickly and in large amounts wins in the battle to top the search engine result pages.
However, consistently coming up with interesting ideas to write about is not an easy task and not for everyone.
Thankfully, Rytr is there for you. It can take your target keyword and generate a high-quality blog outline in literal seconds!
● Copywriting Framework: AIDA
In the copywriting business, people have developed frameworks or scientific formulas which are implemented in the writing process to come up with high-converting content.
AIDA, which stands for — Attention, Interest, Desire, and Action, is one of these frameworks.
Rytr has the functionality and capability to generate high-quality copy in a well-established content marketing framework such as AIDA. All you have to do is to guide it with a few keywords, and the AI behind the scenes will work its magic.
● Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn Ads.
The best way to boost sales or achieve any other particular goal online is to run a social media ad campaign.
Generally, this involves selecting your target audience and targeting the social media apps in which your typical customers spend their time the most and coming up with clever ad copy (which can be a daunting task) that will connect.
AI writing tools, like Rytr, enable you to skip the ad copywriting step while simultaneously cutting costs on outsourcing and whatnot.
Constantly writing and crafting emails at work or whatever the case may be, is a time-consuming business.
Automating this repetitive task can save you a ton of time which you can instead use for other productive activities. Rytr is the perfect tool for automating your email writing hassle.
Its AI can generate unbelievably high-quality and appropriate emails in literal seconds. The good thing is this is not a completely autonomous arrangement— you can always revise and edit the email draft before finally sending it to your boss.
Remember that you can try out different tones, rephrase sentences, generate up to three variants for the same keywords at a time, and choose the draft you like the most.
● Landing page and Website copies
So, you’ve built a beautiful website and you’re ready to take on the world? Well, you will need some kind of copy for your website — professionally written text.
Writing text for your website that sounds professional and at the same time can achieve specific goals like capturing leads, making sales, etc, is not a skill that is not learned overnight.
Normally, you would need to be a professional copywriter yourself or hire one to do this job for you. But not anymore, you can generate effective and professional copy for your website through Rytr’s ‘landing page and website copy’ use case.
Rytr saves you time and money instead of hiring someone who may not be as skilled as advertised or may simply overcharge for their services.
5. Access a free Built-in Plagiarism Checker
Going to the trouble of using an AI content writer only to end up with plagiarized text beats the purpose of using an AI content generator in the first place if you ask me.
To avoid that, Rytr AI tries as much as possible to generate original content. But computers are machines that are not always as accurate. Plus, even if you were to write it by hand, chances are someone has written it before, and it is live somewhere on the web.
It happens to us human writers all the time.
To counter this plagiarism issue, Rytr has an in-built plagiarism checking tool.
If the text shows that it is plagiarized, you can always discard it and try again or edit out the plagiarized part.
Rytr Review on Pros And Cons
What are the notable benefits and the downside of using an AI content spinning software like Rytr?
Just like with anything in life, Rytr has its own unique strengths and pitfalls. Let’s look at some of the pros and cons of using Rytr for generating content.
Pros
- Advanced AI capabilities
- Clean user interface
- Supports a lot of languages
- It has a free plan
- Easy to use
- Plagiarism checker
Cons
- Annoying word/character limits
How To Use Rytr To Generate Content?
To start Ryting you first need to create a free user account.
The whole account creation process can be automated using your pre-existing Google, LinkedIn, or Facebook account information to create a new Rytr account.
Alternatively, you can use the good old-fashioned method of manually signing up with an email.
Below I’m going to walk you through a couple of popular use cases from start to finish i.e. until the final piece. I’m only doing this to give you a picture of how content is generated using AI writing tools.
For practical reasons, I’m not going to cover all the 30+ use cases that Rytr supports.
I also want to make it very clear that I’m not an AI content-generating guru. The following examples do not in any way represent “the correct way” of generating content.
Remember, the whole reason I’m doing this is to show you how easy it is to generate content using Rytr.
Let’s look at the first example.
1. Generating A Blog Article Using Rytr
On average, about 4.4 million blog articles are published online every 24 hours. That translates to over three thousand articles per minute.
As long as people continue to Google stuff, the demand for content will always increase, whereas the number of writers will more or less remain the same.
The solution to this demand and supply imbalance for a long time has been the gig economy and outsourcing. While it still works today, recruiting new members comes with risks and extra costs.
But now, thanks to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, computers can write just as well as human beings.
With Rytr, you can come up with a full-blown article from scratch by combining a few use cases and feeding it very minimal input for context.
Let me show you how this is done, I will combine necessary use cases and try to come up with a complete draft from scratch in a step-by-step fashion.
Rytr Use Case Number One: Generating Blog Idea And Outline
Before you start writing a blog article, the first thing you do is to come up with an idea and sketch some sort of outline or sketch of the whole article.
This is a very crucial part because if you mess up here, you mess everything up. Rytr embodies this concept exceptionally well with its ‘Blog idea and outline’ use case.
Follow these steps to generate a blog outline automatically.
1. Select a Language
There are over 30 languages to select from. The quality of the output is good regardless of your selected language. In this case, I will select English from the drop-down menu.
2. Select a tone
Rytr has over 20+ speech tones to choose from. You have a wide range of choices when it comes to picking a suitable voice for your audience.
Since I want to generate an article for content marketing purposes, I want to convince my readers to perform a certain action after consuming the content.
So, I will pick ‘convincing’ from the drop-down menu as shown below.
3. Select a use case
Simply head over to the ‘choose a use case’ section and pick the one you want on the drop-down menu. Here, I will pick the ‘‘Blog idea and outline’ use case.
4. Enter your keyword(s)
Here’s where you tell the AI the main topic you want it to work on and hopefully come up with something intelligible. As much as the AI behind Rytr is pretty advanced, believe me, it will not guess the topic of your article.
So, for this demo, my keyword is ‘best course selling platforms’.
5. Choose The Number Of Desired Variants And Generate The Outline
You’re almost there, now you just have to select the number of variants you want. You can generate up to three drafts at a time.
You can also select the level of creativity and there are 6 of them namely, Low, Medium, High, Max, Optimal, and None (more factual).
When you’re done, click on the ‘Ryte for me’ button to generate your outline(s).
Results
Variant 1
I like this one. I love writing listicles, they’re powerful, and straight to the point, plus readers love reading interesting lists.
The title is exactly what I would probably come up with if I were manually doing this.
The H2 titles are pretty cool too, I would break them down further by adding H3 subheadings but that’s not a big deal.
In this example, we’re going with this variant.
Variant 2
First of all, why would it say “The Ultimate List of the Best Course Platforms in 2018”? Rytr is trying to pull a quick one on me, I see.
Anyways, apart from the shocking wrong year, I would use this title too.
But according to the H2 subheadings, I would prefer this variant if it was titled “The Ultimate Guide to the Best Course Selling Platforms in 2023”.
It is still a decent blog post outline only that it seems there is a lot of polishing needed and I think it’s not worth it. Remember that whole idea of using an AI article spinner is to dodge manual work.
Rytr Use Case Number Two: Blog Section Writing
Most of the steps involved here have already been covered in the ‘Blog Idea and Outline’ demo above, so, I will not dwell much on them.
These steps are:
- Select your language (in this case English)
- Select your preferred tone (Let’s go with convincing again)
- Choose a use case (Blog section writing)
The real work begins after you finish these steps. Here’s what you should do next;
4. Type in a section topic
Here it’s just a matter of copy and pasting the H2 title from the outline you generated earlier into the section topic input area.
5. Enter Section Keywords
Copy the keywords under the H2 title you copied earlier and paste them into the section keywords input area on the left side of the dashboard.
When you’re done, choose the number of variants (up to three variants) you want to be generated and your desired creativity level.
Click on the Ryte for me orange button to generate a section of your blog post, in this case, I’m generating an introduction.
Results
Variant 1
This is a very excellent introduction and I’m quite impressed. It would even be better with a few more keywords but this is a good one.
It’s not boring which means people won’t skip the article one second after clicking on the link from a search engine results page.
I give Rytr a 10/10 rating for this, I mean, coming up with captivating intros is the hardest part of writing blog articles for most writers (including me).
Variant 2
Rytr went on to produce a fully optimized article for search engines. It included all the target keywords in the article cleverly (without sounding spammy).
It is a decent introduction and I would use it for my articles. But I would edit it out a bit to improve the readability otherwise Rytr is winning my heart here.
For H2 number one ( Udemy – review of features and pros/cons)
Variant 1
Variant 2
For H2 number two (Skillshare – review of features and pros/cons)
Variant 1
This variant is too short! But it’s not a big deal since has options that will automatically add more content to a variant.
For example, you can add an extra paragraph, add more text to a variant that didn’t finish ryting with the ‘continue ryting’ feature’, you can rephrase the whole variant or just a specific sentence, you can append more text, improve text quality, or use the magic command to send custom text generation request to AI.
Rytr has got you covered.
Variant 2
I like this variant, I do.
Rytr generated for me a decent amount of text but with no fluff or filler content. All the information is important and useful to my readers, plus it is captivating.
For H2 number three (Coursera – review of features and pros/cons)
Variant 1
What else would I ask for? Rytr outdid itself on this one.
This is top-notch quality stuff. I’m afraid it seems Rytr is a better writer than I am and I’m not even joking.
I love the structure, the content itself, and most importantly the correctness and the usefulness.
Note: I used the ‘Continue rating feature to increase the content length for this variant and my expectations were exceeded by a mile.
Variant 2
I like the fact that Rytr decided to throw in interesting facts at the beginning of this variant, every content creator knows how powerful interesting facts can be.
The whole variant is just excellent. It seems I would have a tough time picking between the first variant and this one.
Kudos to Rytr for blowing my mind once again.
For H2 number four (Lynda.com – overview of the course selling site and its benefits)
Variant 1
I don’t know how I feel about this one.
The first two paragraphs are awesome as usual. But the last paragraph is a replica of the first paragraph.
Variant 2
I like this variant, concise and straight to the point. I would prefer if there were more content (in terms of word count) but quality stuff!
Yeah, that’s it. We’ve successfully generated a blog article in less than 5 minutes.
All that is left to do now at this point is to select your favorite variants and put them on a single page. Edit a little and add images to spice it up and your content is ready to be published.

Does Rytr Have A Free Plan?
The answer is YES! Rytr comes with a free plan. It comes with almost all Rytr’s features but you are only allowed to generate 5000* characters per month.
Does Rytr Generate Original Content?
Rytr produces unique content that is mostly original, but, since its AI is trained from the data collected from the web, it is highly advisable to check your data for any duplications and/or plagiarism. Rytr has an in-built plagiarism checker to cut out the work for you.
Does Rytr Have A Browser Extension?
Rytr has a browser extension and all chrome users can download it on the Chrome Web Store. Unfortunately, if you’re using a different browser there’s no web extension for you yet but you can still access Rytr via its website.
How To Avoid Repetitive, Incomplete, And Poor Quality Outputs When Using Rytr?
It all boils down to common sense and following a few of the following tips. Just to be clear, language AI or writing tools can only produce models that can do much but are bound to spew out incomplete sentences, gibberish copy, and repetitive text.
Now, here is what you should do to increase your chances of getting top-quality and unrepetitive output.
Firstly, you have to make sure you feed the AI meaningful input that is concise and precise.
Secondly, you have to avoid generating long lists in one go but rather employ the divide and conquer method. For example, instead of “10 best movies of all time”, you can say “3 best movies of all time” a couple of times and bind the results into a single article.
Can I Add Additional Users To My Rytr Unlimited Plan?
For now, the unlimited plan allows only 1 seat but Rytr promises to add the ability to invite & add multiple users to the same account soon.
How Does Rytr Create Content?
Rytr uses state-of-the-art GPT-3 based language models (provided by OpenAI) that have been trained on large parts of the internet to predict the probability of the next word given an input scenario.
Rytr has fine-trained these models for each use case using their layer of training data and copywriting formulae like AIDA, PAS, FAB, and more.
What Are Rytr’s Credits?
Credits are the number of characters you are allowed to generate or process per month under your current plan.
Rytr offers 5,000 credits per month under its free plan when you create an account.
5000 credits translate to 5000 characters which gives you roughly about 1000 words.
If you like what you see and want to generate more/unlimited characters, simply upgrade to the premium plan for just $29 per month.
