To open Google Drive on a browser,
- Open your favorite web browser.
- Make sure you are logged into your Gmail account. (Create it here if you don’t have one).
- Go to https://docs.google.com to open Google Drive.
- Alternatively, go to https://Google.com or https://Gmail.com and wait for the page to load.
- Select the Grid icon near the top-right corner of the page, a list of all Google apps will appear in a drop-down. Scroll down until you see Google Drive, click on it to open it.
When you click on the Google Drive icon, it’ll successfully open up the Google Drive app. And you can now start storing your files by uploading from your computer.
How to open Google Drive on Mobile

However, it is a great idea to download the mobile app to enable access to your files regardless of where you go.
To use Google Drive on your tablet or phone (android or iPhone) you need to first download the app from either the Google Play Store or from the iOS App Store.
Below is how to download Google Drive on your phone:
- Open Google Play Store or the iOS App Store.
- In the search bar, type Google Drive and select the first result.
- The Google Drive app will be ready for download and install. Just hit on the Install button and wait for it to perform its magic.
As soon as you tap on install, the app will download and install for you.
All you need to do now is to go to your list of apps on your phone and locate the Google Drive app, then tap on it to open.
From the app, you can store and access all your files.
